Aims and Objectives

We aim to provide a homely, comfortable, safe, stable, and nurturing environment for young people, where they will receive quality support and guidance to enable them to learn and develop the life skills required to make the transition to full independence.

We will support our young people to gain the education, training, employment, self-belief, and skills they need to develop into confident young adults and constructive members of our society.

The young people we accommodate and support, may have various needs or afflictions which could include:

  • Autistic spectrum disorder
  • Moderate learning disabilities
  • Attachment disorder
  • Risk of exploitation
  • Mild self-harm
  • Social and emotional behavioural difficulties

Our objectives are:

  • To promote safety for the young person by ensuring that each young person completes a holistic risk assessment, which is continually reviewed.

  • To help enable the young person to meet their self-care, health, and emotional needs.

  • To promote and maintain positive relationships which benefit the young person and enable them to develop their identity, self-respect, and care for their own well-being.

  • To promote and encourage the young person to gain and maintain employment, education, and training.

  • To support the young person in managing their finances by helping them gain an understanding of the process to obtaining healthy finances and avoiding debt.

  • To enable the young person to develop skills to communicate and interact with others and to integrate and contribute to the community in a positive manner.
